What this is for
An oil analysis reads wear metals, contamination and the remaining additive package from a small sample. It is the only honest way to set an extended drain interval instead of guessing at one, and on a fleet it finds a failing component weeks before it strands a machine.
Check this before you order
Sampling technique changes the result. Take the sample mid-stream at operating temperature and label the hours or miles on the oil.
